SIMPLE brand #54 – Mark Schaefer: Cumulative Advantage

In this week’s episode of the SIMPLE brand With Matt Lyles podcast I talk with Mark Schaefer, author of Cumulative Advantage: How to Build Momentum For Your Ideas, Business and Life Against All Odds!

Do you ever feel like the odds are stacked against you? I hate to be the one to break it to you, but they actually are.

The world continues to evolve at a rapid pace. Customer expectations have never been higher. And Customers are bombarded with distracting messages and experiences from an ever-growing number of businesses competing with you all.

So how can you consistently cut through all the clutter and stand out? Following the old rules of engagement isn’t enough. Even being considered GREAT isn’t enough as overwhelming competition keeps redefining what GREAT really is.

It comes down to developing, building and riding momentum. And that’s why I’m happy to talk with Mark Schaefer this week.

Mark’s an international keynote speaker, consultant and author. He’s a faculty member of the graduate studies program at Rutgers University. His blog – GROW – is hailed as one of the top marketing blogs in the world. He’s the host of one of the top 10 marketing podcasts – The Marketing Companion.

And he’s the author of nine books including Marketing Rebellion and his latest – Cumulative Advantage .

Mark and I discuss his Cumulative Advantage lessons on building unstoppable momentum through five key factors. What’s great is that these factors apply no matter the size of your business. And they can even be applied to help you create unstoppable momentum in your own professional career.
